Entry into force notes
The Act enters into force on 1 January 2005.
Abstract

This Act defines the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Finland and the rights and jurisdiction of the Finnish state in the EEZ. It also prescribes that the specified environment and wildlife protection legislation and Finnish criminal law shall apply in the EEZ, defines offences relating to fishing, hunting, mining and the environment in general and provides with respect to enforcement and legal proceedings.
