The Act enters into force on 1 January 2002.
Abstract

The present Act is composed of seven Sections: General provisions (sect. 1); Duties of entrepreneurs (sect. 2); Duties of producers, importers and purchasers packages within the European Union, and exporters delivering packages the within European Union (sect. 3); Duties of salesmen and users of products in packages (sect. 4); Duties of public administration organs (sect. 5); Criminal provisions (sect. 6); Final provisions (sect. 7). The Act establishes requirements of packages in compliance with the principles of the environmental protection and ways of dealing with packages and package wastes, assuring protection of human life and human health, and sustainable development of the environment.
