Abstract This Act lays down measures to prevent, minimize and mitigate the adverse impact on biodiversity of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species. These provisions apply to all invasive alien species animals, plants, fungi or microorganisms introduced outside its natural range. The present Act sets out rules of liability for breach of regulations and also additional restrictions to the ones specified in Regulation (EU) No. 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species.
