Abstract This Act regulates biotechnology activity. It consists of 18 articles establishing safety and inspection requirements for performing genetic engineering, such as: construction, breed, genetic manipulation, transport, production, consumption and every activity relevant to genetically modified organisms' (GMO). The aim of the Act is the protection of human, animal and plant health as well as natural environment. It establishes prohibited manipulation methods (human genetic manipulation is strictly prohibited) and also prescribes sanctions to be paid by offenders.
