Abstract The present Act contains 39 Articles and applies to to the administration of the European Union's regulations under the Common Agricultural Policy. This includes regulations on schemes financed in whole or in part by the European Guarantee Fund for Agriculture and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development; the common market organization for agricultural products; schemes for agricultural products covered by Annex I of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union that are not covered by a market arrangement; and trade arrangements for certain goods made from agricultural products. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and the Minister for Rural Districts may, within their respective areas, lay down rules and take the decisions necessary for the application of the European Union's regulations on matters covered by this Act.
