This shall be done through an environmental assessment of certain government planning and action plans that are likely to have a significant impact on the environment. The Act further lays down rules describing the role of the National Planning Agency; the duty to present an environmental report; the content of the environmental report; the duty to advertise the report to the public; criteria to be taken into account in the EIA; etc. The Executive may, in a regulation, after receiving the opinion of the National Planning Agency, lay down further provisions on the implementation of this Act.
