Résumé This Regulation, consisting of 84 sections divided into 13 Parts and completed by seven Schedules, implements and regulates any related activity under the Transport Operations (Marine Pollution) Act 1995. It sets the following matters: Preliminary (Part 1); Oil (Part 2); Noxious liquid substances in bulk (Part 3); Packaged harmful substances (Part 4); Sewage (Part 5); Garbage (Part 6); Transfer operations (Part 7); Reporting requirements (Part 8); Insurance (Part 9); Investigation, prevention and minimization, and enforcement (Part 10); Securing compliance with Act (Part 11); General (Part 12); Repeal and transitional provisions (Part 13). Schedules specify the following aspects: Recordable operations and recordable; Nil discharge waters for untreated sewage; Nil discharge waters for treated sewage; Nil discharge waters for treated sewage or untreated sewage from declared ships; Levels of sewage quality characteristics for treated sewage; Designated areas within the Great Barrier Reef Coast Marine Park and Dictionary.
