The Schedules specify animals, plants or articles the importation and exportation of which are restricted (trade in Appendix I, II or III species). The Director of Environment referred to under section 10 of the Conservation and Environmental Management Act is designated as the Management Authority for the purposes of the Convention. The Governor acting on the advice of Cabinet shall appoint a Scientific Authority. The Act also provides for appeal against decisions of the Management Authority with the e Physical Planning and Environmental (Appeals) Tribunal appointed under the Physical Planning Act. Part 14 of the Conservation and Environmental Management Act applies with the necessary modifications to an appeal.
