Section 2 and 4 of the principal Act are amended by inserting the names and meanings of the International Conventions to which Antigua and Barbuda is a Party. The amendment of Section 11 concerns qualification to own Antigua and Barbuda ships. Other amendments provide for: repealing of Section 14; insertion of new subsections concerning: registration, role of inspectors, prohibition notices, activities involving the risk of serious pollution of navigable waters, offences.
