Mot clé EIA Aire géographique Europe, Europe et Asie Centrale, Pays de l'Union Européenne, Méditerranée, Europe du Sud Résumé The objective of these Regulations is to provide for a high level of protection of the environment, including health, and to contribute to the integration of environmental and health considerations into the preparation and adoption of plans and programmes with a view to promoting sustainable development. The Regulations aim at ensuring that a strategic environmental assessment is carried out on plans and programmes which are likely to have significant effects on the environment. Proponents of such plans and programmes shall notify the Competent Authority of their intention to prepare a plan or programme before the adoption or submission to the legislative procedure of any plan or programme which requires a strategic environment assessment.
