In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the construction and inspection of small fishing vessels. Subject to section 7, before commencement of construction of a fishing vessel, the builder or owner of the fishing vessel shall submit in triplicate to the Ship Safety Branch office for the area in which the fishing vessel will be constructed, the scantlings, information and data set out in Schedule I.
