Sections 609 (16 U.S.C. 1826j(e)(3)) and 610 (16 U.S.C. 1826k) are amended so as to add illegal shark fishing to the activities that must be identified and listed by the Secretary for purposes implement effective measures to end the illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing activity. The Magnuson-Stevens Act is amended in section 307 (16 U.S.C. 1857) to provide anew with respect to the offence of shark finning.
