Résumé This Decree, composed of 6 parts, approves the Plan for the Hydrographical Basin of Minho River. The aim of the Plan is to identify the existing situation of this hydrographical basin, define the short, medium and long term environmental objectives, indicate appropriate measures and actions and establish the physical, financial and institutional programme schedule for the selected actions. Finally, the Plan seeks to implement a coherent and effective policy for water resources and identify normative guidelines in line with the aforesaid objectives. According to article 2 of the Decree, the Plan for the Hydrographical Basin of Minho River will have a maximum duration of eight years and will be revised within six years.
