They prohibit, except for some defined period for persons registered under these Regulations: (a) use, processing, or production PCB materials or PCB contaminated materials; (b) import of PCB materials or PCB contaminated materials into the Republic of South Africa, or export of PCB materials or PCB contaminated materials from South Africa; or (c) sale PCB materials or PCB contaminated materials in South Africa. A PCB Holder who is registered must develop a phase-out plan and submit it to the Director-General.
