Résumé

These Regulations define quality classes and prescribe quality standards for each class in respect of sorghum produced in or imported into South Africa and placed on the domestic market and prohibit the placing on the market of sorghum in the Republic of South Africa unless: the sorghum is sold according to the prescribed classes and complies with the prescribed standards and grades; is packed in accordance with the prescribed packing requirements; and the containers or sale documents, as the case may be, are marked in accordance with the prescribed marking requirements. In addition, the Regulations prohibit sale of sorghum that contains a substance that renders it unfit for human consumption or for processing into or utilization thereof as food or feed.
