Résumé This Regulation states the following: Boracki krš in southwestern Šumadija, between the southern branches of the Rudnik mountain and the northern branches of Kotlenik, is placed under protection as a natural asset of exceptional importance, ie category I as a natural monument called "Borački krš". The natural monument "Borački krš" is placed under protection in order to: preserve representative examples of columnar quartzlatites, which represent exceptional geological and geomorphological value due to their degree of preservation after long-term erosion and exhumation; preserved the combinations of different geological, geographical and microclimatic circumstances that contributed to the development of characteristic flora and fauna in this area, many of which are protected under national legislation; preserved a significant cultural and historical whole that developed in combination with natural values; preserved a high level of landscape quality. Significance from the aspect of biodiversity is emphasized by the presence of 79 species of birds, of which ten species are recorded from Annex I of the Birds Directive, which classifies this area as a potential SPA or Natura 2000 area, namely:Pernis apivorus , gray falcon Falco peregrinus , bougainvillea Bubo, waterfowl Alcedo atthis, black woodpecker Dryocopus martius, gray woodpecker Picus canus, rural woodpecker Dendrocopos syriacus, medium woodpecker Dendrocopos medius, forest woodpecker Lullula arborea and rusi colrachak. In Appendix II of the Berne Convention are honey buzzard Pernis apivorus, owl Bubo Bubo , which belongs to the category SPEC 3 birds in relation to European needs protection and forest lark Lullula arborea which belongs to the category of SPEC 2 bird species in relation to European protection needs.This text indicates several management and protection rules aimed for this territory.
