This Regulation comes into force on 1 January 2019.
Résumé

This Regulation is enacted further to specific Articles of the Agriculture Act of 2008. This Regulation provides for the state funding for pro animal-friendly farm management programs including animal-friendly housing system, regular exercise outdoors, the procedure for awarding the funding services and funding requirements. The Regulation provides for animal welfare contributions that is paid per livestock unit and animal categories including cattle, equine species, poultry and water buffalo. The Office for the Environment is in charge to check compliance with the funding requirements and to control the farms. The Regulation further provides the possibility to complain against decisions of the Office for the Environment. This Regulation consists of 14 Articles divided into 5 Sections attached with Annex 14 that verifies specific requirements of animal welfare contributions.
