Résumé

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on waste management, prescribes the manner of handling medical waste, as well as the manner of packaging and labelling of medical waste. Medical waste is waste that is generated in medical and health institutions (hospitals, polyclinics and clinics, dental offices, surgeries that provide certain health services, research laboratories-institutes veterinary societies, etc.) which occurs as a product of used as material in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases in humans and animals (also hazardous waste/substances). Medical waste treatment includes activities related to its selection on the place of creation, collection, storage, treatment, processing, transport and removal.
