Résumé

The Regulation provides for the management of Iran’s Ports. In particular, the construction of a ship requires a permission of the ports’ authorities. Only vessels with authorization may enter or depart a harbour. Every port should have a number of guides to help with arrivals and departures of vessels from the port. No ship’s crew may leave the ship without the permission of the Health and Quarantines Officers. Any violations of this Regulation shall be punished by fine or imprisonment. The Regulation consists of 64 articles, sub-divided into 12 Chapters; The Ports’ Authorities and Duties of the Ports’ Staff (I); Navy (II); Shipbuilding (III); Guides (IV); Health and Quarantine Procedures (V); Vessels’ Arrival (VI); Vessels’ Movement (VII); The Duties of Ports’ Staff in Arrival (VIII); Fire (IX); Miscellaneous Provisions (X); Vessels in Rivers and Canals (XI); Punishment (XII).
