Résumé

The Purpose of this Regulation is to ensure sustainable management of the hunting of lynx, wolverines, bears, wolves and golden eagles. Management of wildlife should be differentiated by taking into account different interests in different areas and for different predator species. Norway should ensure the breeding of 65 lynx, 39 of wolverines and 15 cubs of bears on a yearly basis. There shall be 3 annual breeding of wolves within the territorial area of breeding wolves in Norway. If over half of the territory lies within the administrative territorial area of breeding wolves, the territory is considered as management area. When part of the territory is located in Sweden, wildlife family groups shall not be included in the target of 3 yearly breeding. The Golden eagle population should be managed so that its stock is maintained at 850-1200 breeding pairs in Norway. A Predator Board shall be established in order to allocate quota for hunting for lynx, wolverine, bear and wolf in order to prevent these predators to damage livestock or domesticated reindeers. This hunting quota is effective from 1 June to 15 February. Authorized quota for hunting lynx, wolverine, bear and wolf is listed under article 10. Hunting activities shall be duly registered. Some catches of these species may be subject to research. The County Department manages permissions to hunt lynx, wolverine, bear and wolf in accordance to the decision of the Directorate for Nature Management.
