Entry into force notes

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Résumé

This Regulation makes amendments in the Regulation (EC) No 1217/2009 to replace the Farm Accountancy Data Network with the Farm Sustainability Data Network (FSDN) in order to meet the needs of the common agricultural policy. This amendments aims to achieve: (I) the collection and analysis of farm-level sustainability data covering the enhanced economic, environmental and social dimensions; (II) assessment of additional aspects related to the sustainability of Union agriculture; (III) identification of challenges faced by Union agriculture; (IV) improvement of advisory services to farmers and benchmarking of farm performance; and (V) the provision of the transparency and fairness of the agri-food supply chain.
