Résumé This Regulation amends Paragraph 1 of Article 8 as “Transportation of plants and plant products that are not in free circulation passing through the Customs Area of Turkey from a foreign country to a foreign country are subject to transit procedures. Nevertheless plants and plant products passing through the Customs Area of Turkey transported from a foreign country by sea in a closed container or by air in a closed package to a foreign country without unpacking, are not subject to transit procedures”. This regulation makes several changes in Annex-I/A regarding harmful organisms not known to occur in Turkey, that are subject to quarantine and that hinder importation and in Annex-I/B regarding harmful organisms that have limited existence in Turkey, that are subject to quarantine and that hinder importation. This Regulation also makes several changes in Annex-II/A regarding harmful organisms that are subject to quarantine and that hinder importation in case they are found on some plants or plant products, in Annex-III regarding plants, plant products and growing medium, introduction of which are banned and in Annex-IV regarding special requirements for importation of plants and plant products.
