Chapter 2 sets out the principles governing transactions with plant protection products, particularly the placing on the market of such products, applications for authorization, trade names of plant protection products, authorizations, procedural provisions, amendment and withdrawal, and expiry and renewal of authorizations, labelling and packaging. Chapter 3 deals with the plant protection products register and provides the official list of the products concerned. The other Chapters cover, in particular: General principles on advertising; the obligations of users and authorization holders; general principles on imports, control (the appointment, sphere of competence and obligations of inspectors); inspection and evaluation of samples, confiscation, traders' obligations, fees, general principles on confidentiality of information and penalties.
