Résumé

These Rules (made under section 259-3 of the national Petroleum Act) shall regulate the activities of petroleum marine loading and offloading operations and related matters in Mainland Tanzania. This text is divided into ten thematic parts, as follows: I. Preliminary provisions; II. Application for a construction approval; III. Licensing procedures; IV. Obligations of a licencee; V. Procedures for loading and offloading operations; VI. Financial provisions; VII. Environmental protection; VIII. Technical provisions; IX. Penalties and remedial measures; X. General provisions. Topics here covered are also regarding fees and related charges, maintenance of records, provision and disclosure of information, offences and compensation, sanctions for violation of environmental Laws, preparation of an Emergency Preparedness Plan, fire precaution rules.
