These terms practically replace the terms “registered pesticide” and “restricted pesticide”. A restricted use pesticide is a pesticide the use of which may cause, without additional regulatory action, unreasonable adverse effects on the environment, the user and other persons. Further definitions of “code of practice”, “producer association” and “registrar” are added. A code of practice for the safe handling and use of pesticides shall be adopted by the Minister on recommendation of the Board. The Pesticides Control Board may establish committees to assist it in the performance of its functions and the exercise of its powers. The composition of the Board is modified.
