The aim of the protection is to conserve or restore the environment and in particular its water resources, its water quality, the fertility of the soil, the stabilization of the climate, etc. Furthermore, its aim is also to conserve the variety of wild plants and animals; and to render this area a recreation for the community. Article 4 lists activities being prohibited, such as to carry away soil, to destroy water ways, to destroy or eliminate plants and trees, the building of streets, etc. The text consists of 11 articles.
