Résumé

This Order applies to the construction and design of mobile offshore units who are – or have been - authorized to operate on the Danish territorial waters or the Danish continental shelf. Among the requirement guidelines, it implements standards of the MODU-code (Code for the Construction and Equipment of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units) in adherence to the International Maritime Organization and EU directives. Offshore Facility constructions, arrangement and equipment, including electrical systems, software, hardware, etc., shall be following safety and health risk preventing standards. Mobile offshore installations used as mobile offshore drilling units (Mobile Offshore Drilling Units) must comply with the provisions of the MODU Code, Consolidated Edition 2001. Where there is a risk of contamination with materials or/and substances that are infectious to health or safety, shall be quickly removed and allowed to do so by placing adequate and sufficient aid by the workplace. Offshore installation shall be furnished with all necessary measures to prevent the occurrence and formation of a potentially explosive atmosphere. Equipment, which is or may cause pressures, temperatures, material stresses or other possible safety or health hazards shall be designed and constructed to reduce and not exceed appropriate limits of impact. The Danish Energy Agency and the Danish Maritime Authority oversees these matters and performs all duties conferred by the Danish Working Environment Authority. The Danish Energy Agency’s designation of notified bodies, third-party organizations or approved bodies notified before 1 July 2013 remain valid until expiration or repeal in accordance with the transitional provisions of this Order.
