The aforesaid nature reserves are classified as biological ones, their duration is open-ended, and the change of their boundaries, reorganization and liquidation thereof shall be carried out in conformity with the modalities established by law. The establishment of nature reserves shall not imply expropriation of the plots of land on which they are situated from the land tenants. The main targets of the nature reserves are: 1) conservation, reproduction, stock enhancement of endangered and rare species, protection of habitats thereof, the ways of migration, nidification, hibernation and maintenance of the ecological balance; 2) carrying out biotechnological arrangements for the purpose of setting up more favourable conditions of habitats of protected species. Any activity contrary to the purposes of nature reserve or damaging nature complexes and their components, including ploughing up, timber extraction, hunting and fisheries shall be prohibited.
