Résumé The Order sets regulations for whomever in custody of farm animals suspected of being infected with African Swine Fever should immediately notify a veterinarian. For any suspicious case in feral pigs must immediatelly notify to the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark. Notification must be made in case of sudden death or one or more of the following symptoms: increased body temperature, decreased appetite, uncoordinated movements and staggering hind limb gait, tearing, breaking entries and constipation or bloody diarrhea, red or blue sheen in the skin, especially on the legs and ears, and paralysis. Symptoms develop gradually in that order. In addition, there may be reproductive disorders. A farm is considered infected with African Swine Fever, when confirmed by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration on the basis of clinical and post-mortem or laboratory studies findings conducted at the National Veterinary Institute (DTU). When there is an outbreak of African Swine Fever in pigs on a farm, a protection and surveillance zone around the farm shall be set up. Protection zone with a minimum radius of 3 km, included in the surveillance zone with a minimum radius of 10 kilometers.
