Résumé

This Order validates the Regulation on the on the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Mountain Botanical Garden of the Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences as protected natural area of federal significance (located in Dagestan region, city of Makhachkala) defines tasks, scientific profile, the particulars of legal status, organizational structure, applicable special protection regime. The main purpose of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Mountain Botanical Garden of the Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences shall be performance of fundamental, exploratory and applied scientific research in the field of botany, ecology, forestry, nature conservation. Scientific profile of the aforesaid institution shall be botanical. Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Mountain Botanical Garden of the Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences shall perform the following tasks: (a) plant introduction in the mountainous conditions of the North Caucasus; (b) study of aboriginal and adventive flora and plant resources of the North Caucasus; (c) identification, conservation and use of genetic resources of natural and cultural flora; (d) study of population and evolutionary biology, ecophysiology, biochemistry and plant genetics; (e) creation of special collections of live plants and seed banks, as well as exhibitions in order to preserve biodiversity and enrich flora; (f) innovative activity, replication and implementation of scientific technical developments, inventions and rationalization proposals; and (g) expert examination of scientific and technical programs, projects, research and development work, scientific and educational-methodical developments related to the profile of the institution.
