It shall have, in the future and subject to transfer from other bodies, substantive regulatory and other functions relating to the environment and natural resources of Wales. The purpose of the Body is to ensure that the environment and natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, used and enhanced. The Welsh Ministers may give guidance to the Body with respect to the manner in which it should exercise its functions so as to give effect to its purpose.
