Maximum levels for pesticide residues in and on certain products intended for human consumption are kept under constant review and changed by the European Community legislation in order to take account of new information and data. The Decree, with the view to give effect to Commission Directive 2008/17/EC, provides for the following amendments to the Greek legislative frame regarding MRLs: 1) Ministerial Joint Decree No. 290341/88 is amended as follows: in Part A, Annex II the entry for fenitrothion is added, while the MRL entries for cypermethrin, famoxadone, mepanipyrim, methidathion and thiacloprid are replaced as set out in the Table contained in article 1 to this Decree; 2) Presidential Decree No. 497/89 is amended as follows: in Part A, Annex V the entries for deltamethrin (cis−deltametrin) shall be replaced as shown in the Table contained in article 2 to this Decree; 3) Ministerial Decree No. 352654/95 is amended as follows: in Annex II the entries for acephate, acetamiprid, acibenzolar-S-methyl, aldrin, benalaxyl, benomyl, carbendazim, chlormequat, chlorothalonil, chlorpyrifos, clofentezine, cyfluthrin, cypermethrin, cyromazine, dieldrin, dimethoate, dithiocarbamates, esfenvalerate, famoxadone, fenhexamid, fenitrothion, fenvalerate, glyphosate, indoxacarb, lambda-cyhalothrin, mepanipyrim, metalaxyl-M, methidathion, methoxyfenozide, pymetrozine, pyraclostrobin pyrimethanil, spiroxamine, thiacloprid, thiophanate-methyl and trifloxystrobin are replaced, as shown in the Table contained in article 3 to this Decree.
