Résumé

The State Committee on Fisheries shall be the authorized federal executive body carrying the following functions: (a) elaboration of the state policy and regulation in the sphere of fisheries, fishing vessels, study, conservation, reproduction and use of aquatic biological resources; (b) supervision and control over aquatic biological resources and natural habitats thereof in the inland waters except for the internal sea of the Russian Federation, and also in the Caspian sea and the Sea of Azov until delimitation of the legal status thereof; and (c) rational use of fishing resources, fish farming (except for industrial fish farming) and fish processing. The State Committee on Fisheries shall be responsible for: (a) keeping the register of fishing resources and aquatic animals; (b) elaboration and validation of total allowable catch; (c) allocation of fishing quotas; (d) establishment of restrictions; and (e) implementation of the international agreements on fisheries.
