The regional phytosanitary services and the Government Forestry Body shall jointly carry out phytosanitary assessments. In case of detection of the pest, the competent regional phytosanitary service must immediately inform the President of the regional authority, who shall adopt proper measures. Holders of lands in which infected plants are located must immediately notify the outbreak to the competent regional phytosanitary service (art. 4).
