Résumé

This Act, which is composed of 19 articles, lays down the authority competent for the implementation of the Regulation (EC) No. 2003/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to fertilizers, the competent control authority and method of sampling for the purpose of this control, and labeling of fertilizers in Slovenian language. These provisions apply to all compounds and substances, regardless of physical form, which contain plant nutrients and are added to soil or plants to improve plant growth, increase yield, improve crop quality or improve soil fertility and are produced in the industrial process. This Act also applies to the marketing of mineral fertilizers, which do not meet the requirements of Regulation 2003/2003. The competent authority performs the following tasks: (1) temporarily prohibits placing on the market of a given fertilizer; (2) informs the EC Member States and the Commission about the prohibition specified above; (3) informs the Commission on changes concerning the list of approved laboratories in the Republic of Slovenia; (4) informs the Commission on the adoption and amendment of national regulations.
