The Authority shall be managed by a Board of Directors. The primary function of the Authority under this Chapter is to investigate, study, develop and implement social and economic development programs and projects, alone or in conjunction with other governmental, private organizations, or agencies, for the improvement of the economic and social conditions of the inhabitants of the Marshall Islands. In particular, the Authority shall encourage and develop, and may manage, businesses of economic or social importance to the Marshall Islands, such as tourism, poultry farming and pig breeding.
