Résumé

These Regulations of the Minister of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries acting under sections 13 and 19 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act require specified buyers, seller, producers and importers of milk to register with Milk SA, an association incorporated under the Companies Act. This Statutory Measure aims at fulfilling objectives of the Act in respect of the cow, goat or sheep milk industry. The information obtained through registration is important in respect of market access, efficiency of marketing and the viability of the industry and it will facilitate communication in the industry aimed at matters of common interest such as technical issues, food safety, product standards and other issues regarding the improvement of the viability of the industry.
