Résumé This act sets the zoning plan for the Moreton Bay Marine Park. As stated in section 4, the purpose of this zoning plan is to provide for the ecologically sustainable use of Moreton Bay Marine Park and to protect its natural, recreational, cultural heritage and amenity values. The park is divided into five types of zones: general use zones, habitat zones, conservation zones, buffer zones and protection zones. Part 3 specifies the purposes and the operation of the different zones. Under Part 4, seven designated areas are reserved for special management: commercial bloodworm gathering areas, ocean beach areas, navigation and port areas, the South Passage area, turtle and dugong areas, the Pumicestone Passage area and works areas. Part 4 also describes the special management regime for each designated area. Part 5 concerns the removal of unauthorised or abandoned structures and vehicles. The plan is completed by four schedules: boundaries of zones within marine park, boundaries of designated areas within marine park, declared animals and dictionary.
