Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on 4 May 2005.
Résumé

Article 3 shall be supplemented with the wording: “State supervision and control shall be performed in the field of mining waste management and processing thereof with a view of protection of the population and environment”. Article 5 shall be supplemented with the wording related to inventory of closed type burial of industrial waste and setting criteria for good practices in the aforesaid field. Article 7 shall be supplemented with the following wording: “Reports related to waste management and reports on the performance of planned arrangements shall be submitted to the competent authority”. Article 60.1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “General requirements. 1. Waste management and mining operations shall be performed as follows: (a) without risks for public health; (b) applying processes or technologies that will minimize risks for environment, water, atmospheric air, soil, flora and fauna; (c) minimize risks for landscape, protected areas, historical and cultural heritage. During mining operations and after putting out of operations mines, shall be applied waste management and waste disposal measures with the application of good practices”.
