Résumé This Law is composed of 12 articles. Prohibition to import or export plants, plant parts and plant products before subjecting them to quarantine officers (art. 2). Disinfecting, sterilisation and cleaning of agricultural consignments will be carried out by Quarantine Offices (art. 5). The Ministry of Agriculture will establish the list of plants, plant products, plant parts and epidemic prohibited as well as places of exit and entry from and into Syria (art. 7). Transgressors will be punished for imprisonment from 3 to 6 months and the payment of an amend of SL (500-1000), or one of both as well as the confiscation of the interested consignment (art. 8). Legislative Decree No. 132 of 7/10/1953 is now abrogated (art. 11).
