Résumé

This Law establishes the State Technical Registry of Potentially Polluting Activities or Users of Environmental Resources within the SISNAMA, as well as the Environmental Inspection Control Fee. The Law establishes the mandatory registration and free of charge, for individuals or legal entities engaged in potentially polluting activities and the extraction, production, transport and commercialization of products potentially dangerous to the environment and to fauna and flora products and by-products. The registry is part of the National Environment System (SISNAMA), created by Federal Law No. 6.938 of 31 August 1981. The Paraná Environmental Institute (IAP), a member of SISNAMA, under the Law No. 6938, will manage the mentioned registry, under the supervision of the State Secretariat for the Environment and Water Resources (SEMA). The IAP is a sectoral body responsible for implementing programmes, projects and for the control and inspection of activities capable of causing environmental degradation. IAP is responsible for: keeping the registry updated and make the data available to the SISNAMA; establishing the registration procedure in the registry; and make the data available to the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) to integrate the data in the registry and the Federal Technical Registry of Potentially Polluting Activities or Users of Environmental Resources.
