Résumé

This Decree regulates the treatment, bottling and marketing of natural mineral water, spring water, potable water and potable water enriched with minerals. It doesn't apply to bottled medicinal water, to unbottled potable water, and to water enriched with carbon dioxid. The National Thermal Spring and Spa Inspectorate shall authorize the use of the name "natural mineral water". The requisites to meet are specified in Article 4 and in Annex 3. Article 5 lists the allowable treatments of natural mineral water and spring water. Article 9 specifies the additives that can be added to potable water and to enriched potable water. Quality standards and microbiological standards for natural mineral water are determined in Annexes 1 and 2. Quality standards for potable water and for enriched potable water are specified in Articles 11 and 12. This Decree contains rules on labelling as well, and rules on the denomination of bottled waters falling under this Decree.
