Educational activity shall be conducted by means and methods complying with the status of protected areas. The purposes of educational activities shall be: (a) support of the activity of protected areas by vast strata of the population; (b) solution of regional ecological problems; and (c) formation of ecological conscience and ecological culture among the population. Ecological education shall be carried out by the officials of protected areas. Ecological tourism shall be promoted as a traditional form of ecological education.
