In particular, the Regulations provide for the establishment of three types of hazard classes: a) physical hazard classes, which represent hazards relating to physical and chemical properties, such as flammability or compressed gases; b) health hazard classes, which represent hazards to health arising from exposure to a substance or mixture, such as acute toxicity or skin sensitization; and c) environmental hazard classes (hazardous to the aquatic environment and hazardous to the ozone layer). Five Schedules are enclosed.
