Sujet Forêts Mot clé Mesures de protection des forêts Feux de forêts Infractions/sanctions Gestion forestière/conservation des forêts Aire géographique Afrique, Nations en développement sans littoral, Afrique Méridionale Résumé This Act makes provision for the control of the intentional burning of grass and other wilful or negligent setting of fire to grass by: (a) defining offences of owners of land and other persons; (b) requiring a permit for the burning of grass to be issued by the Director of Agriculture; (c) requiring notification of burning for other reasons than cultivation or the creation of a fire break to public officers and of any burning of grass to owners or occupiers of adjoining lands; (d) requiring neighbours to render assistance in the creation of fire breaks; and (e) defining a general duty and powers to extinguish fires. The Act further, among other things, defines civil liability for purposes of the Act. Texte intégral Anglais
