For the purpose of the said Ordinance vitamins and mineral substances are to be considered as food supplements. These products shall be delivered to the ultimate consumer only in a prepackaged form. Annex 1 specifies the vitamin and mineral substances which may be used when manufacturing food supplements. On the other hand Annex 2 lays down the vitamin and mineral substances which may be used when manufacturing food supplements. Details of packaging and labelling are contained in articles 3 to 5.
