Résumé The principal amendments introduced by this Act are: introduction of a definition for the term "exported"; the name of the Board is changed to "New Zealand Fishing Industry Board"; composition of the Board: the Board is now composed of a Director General and 7 other members appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries as follows: 1 Chairman, 1 nominee of the New Zealand Federation of Commercial Fishermen Incorporated, 1 nominee of the New Zealand Sharefishermen's Association Incorporated; 2 nominees of the New Zealand Seafood Processors' Association Incorporated; 1 member nominated by an organization(s) representative of retailers of fish; 1 other member.
