The Regulations, among other things: designate the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine as the competent authority for the purposes of EU Regulation; prohibit the import of timber products without a FLEGT licence; prescribe offences or having in possession or under control or moving within Ireland a timber product that has been imported without such licence; provide for appointment and functions of authorised officers; prescribe offences.
