Résumé: This Act amends the Environment Conservation Act, 1989 and establishes the Committee for Environmental Co-ordination. This Committee replaces the Committee for Environmental Management. The Act defines the powers, functions and duties of Committee, defines the composition of the Committee and grants powers to the Committee to appoint an executive committee and subcommittees. The principal Act is also amended by the substitution for the expression "Minister of Finance", wherever it occurs, of the expression "Minister of State Expenditure".
