All offences created by or punishable under the First Schedule to this Act shall be referred to as economic offences. The Act also defines offences against conservation of wildlife. A Person is guilty of an offence who- (a) unlawfully captures, hunts or traps animals in a game reserve or game-controlled area; (c) is found in Unlawful Possession of weapons in certain circumstances, contrary to sections 10, 11, 14, 35, part VI, sections 67 and 71 of the Wildlife Conservation Act, 1974, or contrary to section 16 of the National Parks Ordinance. Another listed offence is unlawful mining. The jurisdiction to hear and determine cases involving economic offences under this Act is hereby vested in the High Court (Economic Crimes Court). The Act provides rules for the investigation and prosecution of economic offences.
